Maximize your potential in the Acting industry with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Yorkville University--a unique degree completion program that requires prior completion of an acceptable post-secondary diploma in the creative arts. Our articulation agreement with Yorkville University lets you complete your Bachelor of Creative Arts degree in as few as 15 months while working, and helps you develop advanced leadership skills needed to manage production teams, market yourself as a brand, and more.
You’ll leave the program with a competitive edge of being “The Complete Actor,” having the skills to act for both the camera and stage. You'll develop a unique understanding of acting within the entire production process, from screenwriting to producing and directing.
You’ll leave the program with professional headshots and an industry-ready portfolio including a demo reel of your film work, a short film and a voiceover mp3. You’ll also get expert advice on self-marketing, auditioning, and finding the right agent, as well as meet with Casting Workbook.
At Toronto Film School, you’ll have a unique opportunity for cross-industry collaboration, working with peers across creative programs and building a diverse network of entertainment professionals. You’ll perform in the productions of filmmaking students, table read film and television scripts with writing students, create pitch packages with graphic design students and record voiceovers with video game design students.
You’ll gain invaluable experience performing in all areas of the entertainment industry and build a diverse professional portfolio. As early as your first term, you’ll be performing in front of the camera as well as using film equipment. You’ll also appear in a play by an accomplished guest director on a professional downtown Toronto stage.
In small classes, you’ll be mentored by accomplished working actors, writers, directors, filmmakers and producers who bring industry insights and practices into the classroom, as well as share insider industry connections and networks in both theatre and film.
With hands-on training in front of the camera and on-stage, the program will prepare you with the versatile creative and technical skills you need to succeed as an actor.
